IDEA Suite
Overview
IDEA is a suite of intelligent application solutions created for performing sophisticated data analysis and building data driven predictive models. This integrated suite includes IDEA which allows for the development of data driven models and serves as the main engine for the other modules. It also includes:
- IBPA which uses data mining and knowledge discovery technologies for identifying best practices in oil & gas processes
- IPDA which provides a new and alternative way of full field modeling for production optimization
- ICSA which utilizes a proprietary method to accurately identify best candidates for re-stimulation and improved operations
- IRCA which generates synthetic wireline logs and performs virtual measurement of reservoir characteristics

Technical Highlights
IDEA (Intelligent Data Evaluation & Analysis):

IBPA (Intelligent Best Practices Analysis):
- Identify the best practices in your oil and gas related processes by using the latest data mining and knowledge-discovery techniques on available data
- Uncover and understand rules for handling each new circumstance by evaluating results of past practices
IPDA (Intelligent Production Data Analysis):
- Develop new full field models based on well-known reservoir engineering techniques that have been enhanced by state-of-the-art in AI&DM
- Use data mining and artificial intelligence to identify new opportunities in mature (brown) fields including identifying under-performers, optimizing infill well placement, qualitative reservoir characterization, highlighting major and minor fracture trends, estimate ultimate recovery, perform volumetric calculations, estimate remaining reserves and calculate recovery factors for each well and the entire reservoir.

ICSA (Intelligent Candidate Selection Analysis):
- Accurately identify best candidate wells for production improving operations such as workovers, stimulation, water flooding, new completions, steam injection, and re-stimulation
- Use the selection process that was proved to be the most successful technique for candidate selection for re-stimulation in a project sponsored by the Gas Research Institute
IRCA (Intelligent Reservoir Characterization and Analysis):
- Generate synthetic wireline logs for your geoscientists and petroleum professionals
- Correlate reservoir properties to multiple wireline well logs for the prediction of rock types, permeability, relative permeability end-points, effective porosity, and fluid saturations from well logs
- Allow your geoscientists to accurately and easily perform virtual measurement of reservoir properties throughout the field
- Correlate well logs to VSPs and 3D seismic attributes
