RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is an established effective approach for asset tracking and management in many industries. Merrick's solution allows RFID to be used in industrial applications that require asset tracking in harsh environments, such as extremely high pressures and temperatures. This includes delivering pertinent information about surface, subsea and downhole drilling assets in the oil & gas industry. Merrick provides RFID tags, readers, and software for RFID-based asset management.

For the oil & gas industry these include drilling assets, workovers, completions and inspection yards. • CATS — Corporate Asset Tracking System. This system is designed to maintain as much data as needed on each asset. Using meta data to enable users to configure their own requirements for each piece of equipment, tool, or other asset, CATS allows compete and comprehensive management of information across your enterprise. CATS can be integrated with other third party material management, manufacturing and accounting systems.
