Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement a wide range of training activities for Merrick new hires, veteran employees, clients and partners.
- Methods to be used will include a combination of on-the-job training, classroom training, apprenticeship training, monitored simulations or problem-solving scenarios, and programmed instruction that can involve interactive, multimedia instructional technologies.
- Develop training and certification programs for Merrick Production Operations products that includes:
- Energy Industry Training and how Merrick's Production Operations software fits into the upstream oil and gas industry
- Training programs for Merrick's production operations
- Work with Merrick's technical writers, product managers, consultants and knowledge manager to develop training materials
- Conducting training sessions where appropriate or assist trainer
- Additional Training Responsibilities may include:
- Developing an internal Merrick training program for third party software used in house such as SalesForce, Replicon etc.
- Conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new hires
- Evaluate training effectiveness and be ready with alternative ideas if training approach is not providing desired results.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical skills related to Information Technology, Hardware, Software
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- 5+ Years in developing training programs
- Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry a plus
