Photo of Stephen Nunes With more than 20 years experience in Accounting, Mr. Nunes serves as Comptroller for Merrick Systems. He began his career in Public Accounting with Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG). Mr. Nunes gained energy industry experience during his tenure with Schlumberger where he held Field Controller and Corporate Shared Services Management positions and played a significant role in several enterprise wide accounting systems conversions. Mr. Nunes joined Merrick after 8 years with Waste Management, where he held positions as Divisional Controller, Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, and Corporate Accounting Manager. While at Waste Management, Mr. Nunes participated in initiatives which included rebuilding the division accounting system, implementation of Sarbanes–Oxley compliance and a rollout of an enterprise wide revenue system.

Mr. Nunes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in which he graduated Cum Laude from Rider University in Trenton, New Jersey.
